WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL

Colby High School is located in central Wisconsin, within driving distance of Wausau, Marshfield, and Eau Claire for shopping.  We are a 9th through 12th grade school made up of approximately 290 students. Three communities contribute to our student body; Colby, Unity, and Dorchester.  

For a small, rural high school, Colby offers a wide variety of courses that include; Advanced Placement, Dual-Credit, and Distance Learning.  In addition, we offer a strong School-To-Career program for our students. On the Wisconsin School Report Card, Colby High School scores in the Exceeding Expectations category.  We are proud of our graduation rate and the interventions provided to help our students be successful.

Colby High School is a 1:1 school with every student being provided with a Chromebook that can be utilized both at school and at home.  Every Tuesday through Friday students are provided with an Academic Support Time at the end of the day. All teachers and all students have this time to work with one another.

An advantage of attending a small school is the opportunity to participate in all activities without the stress of “not making the team”.  We have a highly recognized sports program, a wide variety of clubs for students to join (ice fishing and trap shooting being our most recent), and an award winning music program.
