I’m thrilled to be winding down my fourth year as your high school principal! My goal remains the same as it was back in my days as a middle school counselor; making sure our kids are truly ready for life after graduation, whether that’s college or a career. I want to ensure every student leaves here with a solid plan and the confidence to chase it.
I graduated from Greenwood High School in 2007. I went on to UW-Stevens Point, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion Wellness in 2011.
I was employed in the YMCA system for a few years. In 2013, I earned my Master’s degree in School Counseling from UW-Stout. I served as middle school counselor for the Colby School District from 2014-2022.
After obtaining my principal’s license from Viterbo College in 2022, I was hired as high school principal at Colby.
When I’m not at school, I’m usually busy raising my three kids or on the mats coaching wrestling for Abbotsford-Colby. Being a dad and a coach reminds me every day that it takes a village to build grit and character.
I serve as a volunteer EMT and firefighter for the Central Fire and EMS. I also obtained my license as a school bus driver. My hobbies include mountain and road biking, kayaking and hanging out with family and friends.
I have the privilege of leading a great group of staff members. I enjoy coming to work every day. We have a culture that cares for kids and seeks the best for them. I’m proud to be part of this community and can’t wait to see what our students achieve each and every year.
In addition to my role as principal, I also serve as the District Homeless Liaison. I am here to ensure that every student in our community has a stable path to success, regardless of their current housing situation. If your family is navigating difficult times or experiencing housing instability, please know that I am here to offer my assistance and connect you with the resources and support you need to keep your child’s education on track.
