Welcome to the Colby Middle School

Colby Middle School is made up of approximately 200 students in grades 6th-8th. Colby Middle School shares facilities and staff with Colby High School, so students have opportunities to take an assortment of classes besides Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. Students are exposed to Art, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health, Physical Education, Business, Life Skills, Music, Band, Choir, Technology Education and Engineering, Agriculture, Spanish, SOS (Students Offering Services to elementary students), First Aid and CPR, RtI and a homeroom at the end of each day. Every student has access to a chromebook throughout the school day and many have the opportunity to take them home each night as well. Furthermore, Colby Middle School has Spirit and dress up days, dances, PBIS incentives, educational trips as well as fun trips based off of good standing behaviorally and academically.

Other extracurricular offerings include:
Sports: Football, Cross Country, Volleyball, Swimming, Basketball, Wrestling, and Track
Clubs: Fleece Blanket, Yearbook, Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, TAG

Even though Colby Middle School is a small school located in a rural setting, we are proud of all the educational and co-curricular opportunities that we can offer our students.

To save on paper the Middle School will not be making copies of the Middle School Handbook for each student this year.  The handbook is available on the website or you may request a copy from the Middle School Office.
