Hello and welcome to the 2026-27 school year!

My name is Jason Penry, and I am the Director of Student Services and School Psychologist for the Colby School District. This is my 21st year working in education and my 11th  year serving the Colby community.

My dual role allows me to focus on both individual student wellbeing and the broader systems that support our school community. I look forward to continuing our work together to help every student succeed.

Originally from Indiana, I attended Indiana State University where I earned my B.S. in Psychology and English. I moved to Wisconsin for my graduate studies at UW-Eau Claire, earning my Master’s degree in 2005 and my Educational Specialist degree in 2007. To further my commitment to school leadership, I completed the WiscAd Program in 2017 to obtain my administrative certification. I remain a licensed School Psychologist in both Wisconsin and Indiana.

I currently live in Marshfield with my wife, Samantha, and our three children—Griffin (18), Eli (15), and Evie (9). During the warmer months, I enjoy staying active by walking, boating, and fishing. I am also a passionate Indianapolis Colts fan, staying loyal to my home team despite our recent struggles.
