Colby Hornet Athletic Booster Club

The Colby Hornet Athletic Booster Club was established in 1994 and has been in existence ever since.  The Booster Club holds a monthly meeting on the first Wednesday of each month starting at 6:30pm in the Colby High School LMC (library).  There are no meetings in June or July.  All community members are welcome and encouraged to attend.  The Colby Hornet Athletic Booster Club cannot function without the help of volunteers who dedicate their time and talents in a variety of ways like coaching, admissions, concession stands, scholarship committee, raffles etc.  Anyone who would like to help in any way is encouraged to attend the meetings and/or indicate on the booster club membership form where you would be willing and/or able to help.  None of this would be possible without the amount of community support that we receive and we Thank You for all of your tremendous support.  The Colby Hornet Athletic Booster Club is dedicated to enhancing the Athletic Experience for all athletes.

reminder

Next Meeting will be Wednesday, October 5th at 6:30pm in the Colby High School LMC.

What: Sign up for Colby Hornet Athletic Booster Club Basketball teams

When: September 29, 2016 (6:00 PM to 8:00 PM) or late signups call Jean @ 715-223-3348

Where: Colby Middle School Library

Sign up for participation in Colby Athletic Booster Club Basketball leagues will be held on September 29, 2016 in the Middle School Library from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Boys and girls in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 are eligible to participate but they must be a member of the Colby Hornet Athletic Booster Club. A Booster Club membership provides free admission to all home sporting events and is required for children to participate in booster club youth activities. A Booster Club membership costs $40.00 for a family or $20 for a single.

When the basketball sign up is complete, coaches will contact the parents regarding the practice and game schedules towards the end of October.  Grades 5 & 6 boys and girls will participate in the Cloverwood league which plays on Saturdays in December and January. Grades 7 & 8 boys and girls participate in the Great Northwest League tournaments and those dates vary by team.

Parents: The Booster Club needs your help. The basketball program needs volunteers to help coach, referee, run the clock, record the book, work concessions and take admissions for home games during the season. We need your help to make the program successful. Proceeds benefit and support both youth and varsity athletic programs within the Colby School District.

If there are any questions about basketball sign up or the Booster Club, please contact Stacy Hoernke; 715-223-7822.
